November 4, 2012 - "Information is Your Friend" was hosted by SBAG and the NW SB Support Group at Mobility Works of Marietta. Ginny Posid, RN, BSN, MPH led the discussion with parents of children aged 0 to 10 years old.

Fall Quarter - Kitu Dave, an intern for SBAG has been working with us. She will be with us through December. She has been busy identifying potential grants and fundraising options. Additionally, she has done lots of work to help rebuild our database. She is also working with State Agencies to help develop our outreach to new families. Thank you Kitu!

Fall Quarter - We have been working on writing proposals for grants. We will let you know about our successes, when and if we hear from the grantors. Keep your fingers crossed!

October 13, 2012 - Thank you to Books-A-Million for hosting SBAG Day. A portion of all sales on October 13, 2012 were earmarked for SBAG. We will keep you posted when we get the total.

October 7, 2012 - The adults of SBAG had a reunion at the Varsity. They got together to socialize, catch up and discuss key issues of adult care. We hope to have more of these gatherings in the near future.

October 7, 2012 - SBAG hosted the 7th Annual Walk-N-Roll at Georgia Tech. We had great weather, lots of fun, made new friends, saw old friends and raised over $24,000.

September 12, 2012 - Big thank you to the Johns Creek Whole Foods for selecting SBAG as the recipient of the 5% Community Giving Day. They raised $3,300 for our organization.

September 6, 2012 - A bladder and bowel educational afternoon was taught by Ginny Posid, RN, BSN, MPH and hosted at the Carl Sanders YMCA. We had 23 people attend the event.

June, 2012 - SBAG and UroMed sent the Colvin family to the National Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. Additionally, SBAG helped Children's Health Care of Atlanta send Julika Bouchard, the nurse coordinator of Judson L. Hawk Jr. MD Clinic for Children to the National Conference.

August 10, 2013 - Education Morning at the Kennesaw YMCA with Dr. Edwin Smith, pediatric urologist of Georgia Urology and Dr. Nicholas Fletcher, orthopedic surgeon of Emory Orthopedics and Spine Center gave presentations on their areas of expertise to families and adults with Spina Bifida and then had informative Q and A sessions with attendees.
